  Few days ago I went with a friend for the first time to your restaurant and unfortunately probably the last time.
  The food and wine were really great but there were a few things I found a bit unusuall. First thing had to do with water. We got the glasses but not the jug of water despite the fact it was on almost every table around us. During the whole evening we were not offered dessert at all. The last thing is the fact that I felt a bit ignored by the staff. I noticed staff and the manager engaging in conversation with other guests but non of them never came to us and asked if everything was alright with our meal.
  I can't honestly understand this treatment unless it has to do with nationality or ethnicity. As far as I could tell majority of guests were British and me and my friend aren't. It made me feel very sad and dissapointed because I wanted to celebrate my birthday in Freddie's and of course recommend it to friends and family.
  For me restaurants aren't just about food and drinks it is about creating positive and welcoming atmosphere and making customers feel valued.

  What a super place! Staying with friends in St Albans, they suggested we eat at Freddies. Nice, quiet atmosphere - you can easily hear conversation across the tables with no-one having to shout. Freddie is a very caring host and we felt very welcome. The food is just excellent. A good range of dishes on the fixed price menu and also on the à la carte. Freddie understands gluten-free and made adjustments to dishes for some of us. All cooked very well and delicious. We shall be going back.
